Morgan Horses have been part of our family for over Thirty years. During that time, we went to many horse shows and clinics, watched classes from multiple disciplines and styles, visited some of the most famous Morgan Horse Farms, and formed and refined our own breeding plan.

We breed for people-friendly horses with square stances, and good ways of going. Horses that are also alert, intelligent, willing, talented and very beautiful.

We focus on the OLD GOVERNMENT LINES found throughout The University of Connecticut (UC) and University of Vermont (UVM) breeding programs; featuring UVM Viking, UVM Flash, Mansfield, Panfield, Canfield, Flyhawk, and of course, Upwey Ben Don+ (Stallions) and UC Spicy Lass (our Foundation mare), UC Taffy, UVM Flirt, Upwey Benn Quietude + (mares).

with crosses to the WASEEKA’S LINE via NOCTURNE, (stallion) via W. Showtime and W. Peter Piper (stallions), and W. Thisizit (mare) and others.

and crosses to the ORCLAND LINE via ULENDON, through especially ORCLAND LEADER, via Courage of Equinox+, Orcland Vigildon+ (stallions).

with selected other families brought in to the lines, including representation from some New England, Mid-Atlantic, Mid-West and Western working families.

Our pedigrees reflect modern horses with famous ancestors as up close as you can get. The ancestors’ names are often still visible on their descendants’ written pedigrees. Our bloodlines will cross well with any of the current major breeding programs and our Morgans offered For Sale include our best, worthy of being Foundation stallions and mares for new breeding programs, as well as being companions in the show ring or on the trail.

Our Motto and Mission is: Family Show Horses : Showy Family Horses

Georgia’s mini-Essay for Horse & Driver Directory – 2013

We are proud to be a long-time Morgan Horse Family; Breeding and Showing Morgan Horses since 1979. We are especially interested in the preservation, promotion, and sharing of Morgan Horse pedigrees, in a modern horse.

This is a family operation with three generations feeding, training, and maintaining the herd. Good Manners are every bit as important to us as correct conformation and the Morgan’s intrinsic beauty and terrific personality.

We have all ages. Suitable for various disciplines. Classic Morgan bloodlines and temperament. Blacks, Seal Browns, Dark Chestnuts, Bays, & a palomino. National caliber horses for the show ring, CDE, trail, or backyard.

Our horses are groomed near geese, ducks, chickens, guinea hens, cats & dogs.
Sleipnir Morgan Horse Farm is located in East Tennessee at the foot of the Smoky Mountains, off Interstate 75, between Chattanooga and Knoxville.

Our motto and mission – Family Show Horses : Showy Family Horses.

Meet the Sleipnir Morgan Horse Farm Geldings, Part 1 of 2, Sleipnir Celestial Array and Sleipnir Fieldstone

With the sale of Sleipnir Explorer (B-L Rhinestone Kid x May’s Sweetie), our BAY 2006 gelding, to his new show home in OKC with Savannah and Julie Mitchell, we have four other geldings available. Two are mature and trained to ride and drive. Two are two year olds and have all their early handling training done.

Sleipnir Fieldstone   Gelding   2006   Bay   Class A rides & drives
Sleipnir Double Feature   Gelding   2010   Chestnut   Class A caliber

Sleipnir Celestial Array w/ John Denman, whip

Array is a 2002 Bay Gelding (Hylee’s The Rage x Sleipnir Constellation, by B-L Rhinestone Kid) with impeccable bloodlines and excellent conformation. Array has been a Show Champion in-Hand at a Class A morgan show, is professionally trained to be ridden Western and has also been worked by our grand-daughter, Amber, under Hunt tack, under the direction of Sue Nerland, a well-known former Equitation Instructor/trainer.  He has been trained on the ground and hooked by a well known carriage driving/pleasure driving enthusiast, with amateur assistance.

There is a video of him being driven on the Blue Ridge Morgan Horse Association – For Sale page.

http://blueridgemorganhorseassociation.yolasite.com/horses-for-sale.php

S. Celestial Array is 14.3hh, barefoot, trimmed for pasture.  He is current on all his vaccinations, and with a Negative Coggins.  He stands well for the farrier, veterinarian, and to be groomed in the cross-ties by amateurs.  He has been trailered safely several times. No vices. Can stay in a stall or in a paddock. He doesn’t bother paddock fences.

He is a multi-talented fellow who is Class A, national caliber, for a multitude of versatile disciplines. He deserves to have someone who has more time to devote to just him.  We have several more young horses needing further training, and Array is too talented to be sitting in the paddock, under-utilized. He is a favorite of visitors to the farm and along the rail.

John injured his foot this past Autumn at the Morgan Grand National Horse Show (not due to a horse)…So, we have been more than a little occupied with a long saga with his health. We are hoping to get back to driving as the weather, and his health, improves.

SLEIPNIR FIELDSTONE

Fieldstone, (B-L Rhinestone Kid x NEJ Golddust Emma) a BAY 2006 gelding is also 14.3hh, unshod, and trimmed flat for pasture/paddock living.  Currently he is stalled at our trainer, Travis Olinger’s. He is well-behaved in a paddock or pasture also, singly or with others.
Our only remaining gelding by our deceased senior stallion, Fieldstone was trained to ride by a professional trainer & our family – amateur grand-daughter, Kimberly, with professional direction – hunt seat & western tack.  He has been trained to drive by a professional trainer, for primarily home based pleasure driving; shown at one morgan show in Pleasure Driving – did well, trailered, tacked, shown in ring for first time, driven on the grounds by amateur visitor with no experience with him…took it all in stride.

Fieldstone is closely bred to Sleipnir Explorer, our Grand National Top Ten equitation gelding.  He is by the same sire, out of a daughter of Explorer’s dam, May’s Sweetie.
Solid and sensible describes Fieldstone.  All our morgans are very people friendly. Fieldstone loves carrots. He is very calm and cool for handling & driving…Travis hooks by himself.  His horses stand quietly.

See the photos of Travis’ daughter, MaryKate, giving kisses in the crossties: www.ImagesnMemories.com >>> Sleipnir Morgan Horse Farm – Public Gallery >>> Geldings For Sale >>> Sleipnir Fieldstone.
We used him as a two year old for a grooming demonstration by three 8 y/o boys at an Open Barn event; He was fine for the active boys and also fine with a crowd approaching. (Photos: Same Gallery)
S. Fieldstone was also brought to an TN Extension Service Fun On The Farm Day with county-wide first grade classes and home-schooled children and all their family members. Fieldstone stood in a metal square pen and let multiple children pet him, feed him carrots, and have family members take flash photos…trailered well. (Photos: Same Gallery).

Fieldstone has been shod. He stands well for the vet and farrier. He has been kept unshod, just trimmed at home. Fieldstone keeps a nice hoof. He is current on all vaccinations and has a Negative Coggins.  He has been trailered several times in local area under 50 miles.
Prices: Sleipnir Celestial Array and Sleipnir Fieldstone are priced comparatively at $7,500.00 and $7.250.00 respectively. Their prices are negotiable to good loving homes.  We have been morgan horse breeders for over 30 years, and we pride ourselves on matching our horses to new human companions.  EVERY horse that we have sold has gone to a permanent home with their new humans.

You can obtain additional details from S. Fieldstone’s trainer, Travis Olinger, at his email: atolinger@charter.net  or via phone at 423 341 7930  or call or text me at: 423 284 0899.  Our emails are: DenmanFam@aol.com or GLDenman@aol.com They are both really nice horses, who each deserve a special home.

Our First 2012 Foal

2012 Filly Foal by Sleipnir Carbon Copy x NEJ Golddust Emma

Sleipnir Carbon Copy and NEJ Golddust Emma, and their humans, are pleased to announce the birth of their first foal together, a filly (baby girl) born yesterday, Friday, February 24th in the early am.

This is Carbon’s first foal, and she is already spoken for, unless someone purchases both Emma and her filly.

Currently, the little lady is Bay like her sire (the father horse).  However, she may shed out darker (Seal Brown like her Grand-sire, B-L Rhinestone Kid) or (Black like Emma and her dam, May’s Sweetie).

Name suggestions are already flying through the airwaves.  If you would like to make a suggestion, please email us at: DenmanFam@aol.com or GLDenman@aol.com
or TEXT to: 423 284 0899, my cellular.

Visitors are welcome, with notice.

One delivered safely, and dam (mother horse) and filly are vet checked and doing fine.

The filly is very friendly.

Emma is a good mother. Easy to breed.  Easy to foal. Willing to let you near the foal; but protective too.
Her foals have sold quickly.  She was not previously for sale by her owners, we have had her on breeding lease. She is currently available for sale; with various options.  She had a relatively early foal this year, so she is available for sale either OPEN to be bred to a buyer’s own stallion or another choice, or bred to any of our stallions.

We only have one other of her “produce” (her babies) left on the farm.  A three year old Black mare, Sleipnir Hiwassee (Sleipnir Sequoyah x NEJ Golddust Emma) who is in your pocket friendly and a perfect mix of desirable Morgan attributes.

Sleipnir Hiwassee, 2009 Black Mare (Sleipnir Sequoyah x NEJ Golddust Emma)

One more foal is due this year.  Sleipnir Carbon Copy is also the Sire of that prospective foal. Playday Rebecca is the dam.  She has had MANY spectacular foals for other owners and for us.  We will keep you posted.

Update to Liberty United Horse Show

Hello,

The weather is beautiful and the Horse Show is continuing today at the Tri-County Fairgrounds/Arena in Cleveland, Tennessee.  Off the first Cleveland Exit heading North from Chattanooga, on I-75. Off the third Cleveland Exit heading South from Knoxville or Athens, on I-75.

There is no charge for visitors to the show.

Four of our Morgan Horses will be shown today.  Sleipnir Onstar, our gorgeous BLACK, driving mare, currently showing Roadster-to-Bike, but she could go up or down.  She follows her trainer like a puppy.  Our three mature geldings will all be at the show: Sleipnir Celestial Array, a handsome Bay that rides and drives; Sleipnir Explorer, a friendly Bay that has been Junior Exhibitor Hunt Seat Equitated; and Sleipnir Fieldstone, another friendly handsome Bay, that rides and drives.  He has been worked casually laid-back, family-friendly, and has been driven by a four-year-old girl! He can go further up in speed and action, or become an excellent carriage driving horse.

All our horses have a great deal of on-the-ground training time. The driving horses have mostly been started by a carriage driving/CDE enthusiast, who’s family has been breeding morgans for multiple generations.  Some have been further worked by a young man who is also from a multi-generation driving enthusiasts family, but with a decided showhorse orientation.  The horses that have been worked in equitation are also under the care of a multi-generation morgan horse family, and an equitation instructor.  They all stand for the veterinarian and farrier, and are current on their vaccinations and wormings.

There are horses at the show of other breeding also.  Arabians, Friesians, Hackney/Harness ponies, And other breeds.

Please see the website for Liberty at: www.LibertyUnitedHorseShow.yolasite.com

Good Wishes to all the exhibitors.
