Sleipnir Sequoyah – Black Morgan Stallion

20130928-040454.jpg

Sleipnir Sequoyah (B-L Rhinestone Kid x Coeur d’Alene, by Breezeway x a Funquest Consuelo daughter) is a proven black stallion. Sequoyah is a 2003 model.

He has returned from several months harness training at Travis Olinger’s Saddle Creek Stable, Cleveland, TN. Travis is a well known harness trainer from a long time horse show family.

Sequoyah is easy going and friendly; and stands to be hitched by a lone person. He is kind to his mares, rides well to be trailered, has no vices, is current on all his vaccinations etc; and is equally comfortable in a stall in a training stable or out in a large turnout at home. He has been ridden in the past. We are well pleased with his Get; though he could be gelded if that would better suit a purchaser. He is available At Stud to an outside mare, or through an on-farm broodmare lease.

There are further pictures from various stages of Sequoyah’s training in my blog, and on Elizabeth McGee’s website, http://www.ImagesnMemories.com

His full pedigree can be seen on All Breed Pedigrees, as can all the Sleipnir Morgans.

He has one daughter, a 2009 Black mare, Sleipnir Hiwassee (x NEJ Golddust Emma) available for sale.

May’s Sweetie

(Nugget’s Prince x Eck’s Twiggy)
5/5/1984 – 6/7/2013
A few days ago, I posted about the passing of May’s Sweetie. She was Noel Jones primary driving mare and a valued member of their Herd. She was part of Meril May’s significant breeding program in Ohio, which included some of the great Devan breeding stock. Sweetie was one of our favorites here on the farm. She and her two daughters, NEJ Golddust Alice and NEJ Golddust Emma, have played a major part in our breeding program.

S. Rock Candy is a trail pleasure horse for a family here in TN.

S. Explorer is an Equitation and Hunter Pleasure mount for a large show and lesson stable in OK.

When we leased Sweetie, we also leased her daughters, NEJ Golddust Alice and NEJ Golddust Emma, as broodmares also. Alice is Red Chestnut, Emma is Black.
We have had several foals from each of them.
None of Sweetie’s other daughters have progeny listed via the AMHA Registry.

Both Alice and Emma are easy breeders, good at being handled during deliveries, are attentive, but not possessive, mothers and good for all the routine grooming and handling.
Emma is open; Alice has been bred to Sleipnir Carbon Copy for a 2014 foal, but has not been confirmed in foal. Alice and Emma and their descendents are easy keepers, herd safe and friendly. Both of them are available for sale.

NEJ Golddust Alice – Produce:

NEJ Golddust Alice (1993) is a tall 15HH Chestnut who has had four very nice long legged foals for us.

Sleipnir Resonance, and his half-sibling gelding, Sleipnir Double Feature, are available. They know their basics and would make a nice pair.

Sleipnir Kobayashi Maru, a black colt, is weaned and ready to go. We will geld him, or sell him as a colt. He is currently our only planned foal from Sleipnir Zenith, who is also available as either a stallion or gelded.

Alice has been used for riding lessons in various sized rings and out and about on the farm. She has been trailered, stalled, and taken on trail rides in the Smokies in the past.

NEJ Golddust Emma – Produce:

NEJ Golddust Emma (1995) is 15HH, and Black. Emma is a broodmare who has had six very sweet and talented foals for us.

Hiwassee is our last available Get from S. Sequoyah. Sequoyah, a Black easy-going harness horse with significant training is available for sale as a stallion or gelded.

S. Star Attraction, and her half-sister, Sleipnir Diva, are our only available Get from Sleipnir Carbon Copy. Carbon, a bright mahogany bay is a full brother to Sequoyah, and is available for sale as a stallion or gelded.

We always have wonderful Morgan Horses for sale and always have their prices listed. All have their basics and some are finished.

All our horses sell with current vaccinations, wormings, and Negative Coggins.

Pedigrees for all our horses are posted on: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com

We probably have the largest herd of Morgan Horses in the SouthEast. All the horses that are for sale are pleasant, willing, intelligent companions, with excellent breeding and conformation. We breed for a modern horse that still looks and acts like a Morgan…natural Park to backyard pleasure.

NEJ Golddust Emma – 15 HH – Sweet, Black Broodmare

NEJ Golddust Emma (1996) is a solid 15HH, Black broodmare. Emma is a sweet, well-behaved mare, who has had six very sweet, athletic and talented foals for us.

She is a full sister to NEJ Golddust Alice, a chestnut, who is a solid 15HH lesson mare, that we also have on lease. Both Alice and Emma are easy breeders, good at being handled during deliveries, are attentive, but not possessive, mothers and good for all the routine grooming and handling. Emma easily can have several more foals. She is open.

May’s Sweetie, her dam, a 1984 Black retired driving and broodmare is available to go with her, as a companion. Emma is an easy keeper and Herd safe, both in a regular herd and in the broodmare band. She is offered For Sale as agents for her owners. We have had them (Sweetie, Alice and Emma) on long-term broodmare lease, but we have stopped breeding for the foreseeable future, and need to reduce our herd subsequent to John’s extensive illness and recovery period. Her owners are willing to let her be sold to someone who will enjoy her pleasant personality and value her Mid-western bloodlines.

We have three of Emma’s foals on our for sale list also: Sleipnir Fieldstone, a 2006 Bay, safe, harness-trained and saddle-trained gelding; Sleipnir Hiwassee, a 2009 Black mare, ready to be finished; and Sleipnir Star Attraction, a 2012 Bay filly, like her dam and siblings, athletic and sweet-tempered. Emma, and Alice, and their dam, Sweetie, are available singly or as a package as agents for their owners. This is the only time a proven black broodmare has been offered for sale by these multi-generation Morgan breeders specializing in Black carriage horses.

NEJ Golddust Emma’s pedigree is available from the Morgan Horse Registry Online. And, at no charge, from All-breed pedigree. All Sleipnir Morgan Horse Farm Herd Members have their pedigrees available on All-breed pedigree.

NEJ Golddust Alice (1993): Is a red chestnut 15HH mare with considerable time as a saddle lesson horse, for our beginner grandchildren, and others, in various sized rings and paddocks; and open yard. Looks good for a taller person, & still nice looking for shorter legged individual. Alice also has had a lot of ground driving experience; she has been used to train ground driving as a pair, including by young beginner grandchildren. Alice has had three nice foals for us on lease, two of which are sold. Easy to breed. Caring, but not obsessive mother. All foals imprinted. Good for all handling and care. Trailers well. Has been on trail rides in the past. Stalls or open pasture.
We have her on broodmare lease…and since John’s injury, we will not be breeding for the foreseeable future…and none of us are riding much anymore…two of the “grands” are not around…and there are other “sports” plus allergies! And we drive more than ride.

Alice has a 2010 Red Chestnut Gelding, Sleipnir Resonance (Sleipnir Echo’s Finale) also available For Sale.

Alice’s Full sister, NEJ Golddust Emma, a 1996 Black broodmare is also available For Sale. We also have her on broodmare lease, and she is for sale. Emma has had six foals for us. We have three of them For Sale: a 2006 Bay gelding, 2009 Black mare, and a 2012 Black filly. See separate postings.
Their dam, May’s Sweetie, (Nugget’s Prince x Eck’s Twiggy) a black mare, is a retired broodmare…
She is available with either as a companion…or as a package of all three.

I have tested the links, and the videos do pull up. Depending on your service, they each may take a few moments to load. They can both be found on Vimeo, under Noel Jones &/or Frog Farm

Attached is a video of him being driven for the second time (2010 Summer):

Attached is another video of Array. This time being ridden in hunt seat tack (Summer 2011):

We intend to take some current video of him in harness, with Travis Olinger, whip over the next day or so.
Stay tuned for more pictures and more video.

Sleipnir Celestial Array (Hylee The Rage x Sleipnir Constelaton) is a 2002 Bright Bay Gelding: In-hand Champion; Saddle; Harness. Array has some substantial go power in harness, but still with a flat-footed walk. He is currently working in harness on our farm, outside of our rings and paddocks. He is professionally trained for Western Saddle and has carried Western, Hunt and Saddle Seat tack. He was started in harness professionally, and by a very experienced carriage driver. He is well behaved for grooming, handling, harnessing, veterinarian and farrier. He trailers well. Array is a multi-talented fellow who could excel in any of several disciplines. We are planning on continuing to work him in harness for us to enjoy and utilize; he is also For Sale: $7,750.00

Sleipnir Sequoyah, Elizabeth, whip

Photos available from last week: John and Elizabeth were able to go down to Travis’ Stable last Wednesday and work with Sleipnir Sequoyah, our 2003 Black Morgan Stallion, that Britta has in training with Travis.

His ring still had some soft spots from the rain, but they were able to work Sequoyah.  Elizabeth took photos of Travis and John driving him; and John took some of Elizabeth driving him.  I’m attaching a few here, and more will be posted in his Individual Gallery on Elizabeth’s photography site: http://www.ImagesnMemories.com. She’ll attach the direct link as a comment when she has the chosen pictures attached to his gallery.

It is supposed to rain off and on today and through the weekend, so I don’t know that we’ll have much luck for here on Monday…but we’ll see.  Kaya and Tre are off from school for Autumn break next week. It would be nice to be able to be outside with the critters for part of the time.

For further information about Sequoyah, please see some of my earlier posts. Have a good weekend.  Hope that it is sunny wherever you are.
