NEJ Golddust Emma – 15 HH – Sweet, Black Broodmare

NEJ Golddust Emma (1996) is a solid 15HH, Black broodmare. Emma is a sweet, well-behaved mare, who has had six very sweet, athletic and talented foals for us.

She is a full sister to NEJ Golddust Alice, a chestnut, who is a solid 15HH lesson mare, that we also have on lease. Both Alice and Emma are easy breeders, good at being handled during deliveries, are attentive, but not possessive, mothers and good for all the routine grooming and handling. Emma easily can have several more foals. She is open.

May’s Sweetie, her dam, a 1984 Black retired driving and broodmare is available to go with her, as a companion. Emma is an easy keeper and Herd safe, both in a regular herd and in the broodmare band. She is offered For Sale as agents for her owners. We have had them (Sweetie, Alice and Emma) on long-term broodmare lease, but we have stopped breeding for the foreseeable future, and need to reduce our herd subsequent to John’s extensive illness and recovery period. Her owners are willing to let her be sold to someone who will enjoy her pleasant personality and value her Mid-western bloodlines.

We have three of Emma’s foals on our for sale list also: Sleipnir Fieldstone, a 2006 Bay, safe, harness-trained and saddle-trained gelding; Sleipnir Hiwassee, a 2009 Black mare, ready to be finished; and Sleipnir Star Attraction, a 2012 Bay filly, like her dam and siblings, athletic and sweet-tempered. Emma, and Alice, and their dam, Sweetie, are available singly or as a package as agents for their owners. This is the only time a proven black broodmare has been offered for sale by these multi-generation Morgan breeders specializing in Black carriage horses.

NEJ Golddust Emma’s pedigree is available from the Morgan Horse Registry Online. And, at no charge, from All-breed pedigree. All Sleipnir Morgan Horse Farm Herd Members have their pedigrees available on All-breed pedigree.

NEJ Golddust Alice (1993): Is a red chestnut 15HH mare with considerable time as a saddle lesson horse, for our beginner grandchildren, and others, in various sized rings and paddocks; and open yard. Looks good for a taller person, & still nice looking for shorter legged individual. Alice also has had a lot of ground driving experience; she has been used to train ground driving as a pair, including by young beginner grandchildren. Alice has had three nice foals for us on lease, two of which are sold. Easy to breed. Caring, but not obsessive mother. All foals imprinted. Good for all handling and care. Trailers well. Has been on trail rides in the past. Stalls or open pasture.
We have her on broodmare lease…and since John’s injury, we will not be breeding for the foreseeable future…and none of us are riding much anymore…two of the “grands” are not around…and there are other “sports” plus allergies! And we drive more than ride.

Alice has a 2010 Red Chestnut Gelding, Sleipnir Resonance (Sleipnir Echo’s Finale) also available For Sale.

Alice’s Full sister, NEJ Golddust Emma, a 1996 Black broodmare is also available For Sale. We also have her on broodmare lease, and she is for sale. Emma has had six foals for us. We have three of them For Sale: a 2006 Bay gelding, 2009 Black mare, and a 2012 Black filly. See separate postings.
Their dam, May’s Sweetie, (Nugget’s Prince x Eck’s Twiggy) a black mare, is a retired broodmare…
She is available with either as a companion…or as a package of all three.

Sleipnir Celestial Array – 2002 Bay Gelding – harness, saddle, in-hand

Here are some recent photos of Array being driven on our farm.
Travis Olinger, whip.

I have tested the links, and the videos do pull up. Depending on your service, they each may take a few moments to load. They can both be found on Vimeo, under Noel Jones &/or Frog Farm

Attached is a video of him being driven for the second time (2010 Summer):

Attached is another video of Array. This time being ridden in hunt seat tack (Summer 2011):

Amber McGee, up

We intend to take some current video of him in harness, with Travis Olinger, whip over the next day or so.
Stay tuned for more pictures and more video.

Sleipnir Celestial Array (Hylee The Rage x Sleipnir Constelaton) is a 2002 Bright Bay Gelding: In-hand Champion; Saddle; Harness. Array has some substantial go power in harness, but still with a flat-footed walk. He is currently working in harness on our farm, outside of our rings and paddocks. He is professionally trained for Western Saddle and has carried Western, Hunt and Saddle Seat tack. He was started in harness professionally, and by a very experienced carriage driver. He is well behaved for grooming, handling, harnessing, veterinarian and farrier. He trailers well. Array is a multi-talented fellow who could excel in any of several disciplines. We are planning on continuing to work him in harness for us to enjoy and utilize; he is also For Sale: $7,750.00

Sleipnir Sequoyah, Elizabeth, whip

Photos available from last week: John and Elizabeth were able to go down to Travis’ Stable last Wednesday and work with Sleipnir Sequoyah, our 2003 Black Morgan Stallion, that Britta has in training with Travis.

His ring still had some soft spots from the rain, but they were able to work Sequoyah.  Elizabeth took photos of Travis and John driving him; and John took some of Elizabeth driving him.  I’m attaching a few here, and more will be posted in his Individual Gallery on Elizabeth’s photography site: http://www.ImagesnMemories.com. She’ll attach the direct link as a comment when she has the chosen pictures attached to his gallery.

It is supposed to rain off and on today and through the weekend, so I don’t know that we’ll have much luck for here on Monday…but we’ll see.  Kaya and Tre are off from school for Autumn break next week. It would be nice to be able to be outside with the critters for part of the time.

For further information about Sequoyah, please see some of my earlier posts. Have a good weekend.  Hope that it is sunny wherever you are.

Sleipnir Fieldstone, 2006 Bay Gelding and Elizabeth L.D. McGee

Here is a photograph of Elizabeth driving S. Fieldstone last Monday.  Unfortunately, it is pouring rain today. So, no driving today…but we do need the rain.

This is the first time that Elizabeth has driven in a long while. She used to show Junior Exhibitor Pleasure Driving in New England…I won’t say how long ago.

As you can see, she is driving Fieldstone out in the open. No ring. In the pictures with John driving, same thing. We are doing the same with S. Celestial Array. And hopefully we will get a few others back in harness this Autumn.

S. Sequoyah will be coming home from his harness training soon. Then it will be another’s turn.

Nice autumn weather will return after the rain.

We are all looking forward to more fun on the farm.

Tornado Damage – Friday, March 2nd

Hello,

To all the folks who have called and written asking us about ourselves and the critters, Thank you, we are all okay.

We had a lot of fenceline and treeline damage, and have had to move some of the horses in to different smaller paddocks…but none were injured.  Lots of cleanup to do, but we are incredibly Blessed.  One of our neighbors lost the whole roof to her home; and several farmers in the area have had damage to the barns and outbuildings, as well as to their homes.  Our hearts go out to all of them.  Elizabeth and Caitrin’s families are all ok too. In Caitrin’s neighborhood, only her house and her next door neighbor’s were undamaged.

Our major loss was our organic greenhouse. It is a total loss.  Most of the plants have been lost to the storm; but some will survive.

Our greenhouse was destroyed in the tornado of March 2, 2012
